I love getting emails from subscribers. It always makes my day! This week I got some awesome photos that I just HAD to share with you. Meet Eva and Tank! Tank is Eva’s trusted side kick pup. I know so many of us can relate to the special relationships that we have with our animals. They really can be our best friends and get us through the roughest times. Check out our Q&A with Eva!

Tell us about finding out you had cancer and what that was like?

I had a hysterectomy and during the surgery cancer was found. I was scared, angry and nervous.

Do you have a quote that gives you strength?

“Embrace the now.”

What’s one thing that you want people who haven’t had cancer to know about it?

Cancer changes you. It makes you more aware…stronger and wiser.  I’m not letting this run me down. I’m staying in charge no matter how bad a day I have.

If you could give one piece of advice to people who are trying to support a friend with cancer what would that be?

Just be there for them whether it’s talk or just listening. It’s very comforting to have friends who are there for you no matter the miles.

Can you tell us about someone in your life that has given you the most encouragement?

My hubby. I’ve wanted to quit, but he’s always there to let me know this will eventually be in the past. He tells me to look at the good chemo is doing. It’s hard sometimes.

Has cancer changed you? If so, in what ways?

I don’t think it’s changed me. Not yet anyway.

What advice would you give someone that was newly diagnosed?

Wow. Hard one. Get a second opinion.  Trust in your doctors and the treatment plan. This is temporary. You’ll look back and it one day and it will be a distant memory. You are stronger then cancer.

Tell us about Tank.

Tank makes me smile. It’s hard to have a bad day with him around. He gives me kisses and lays next to me as he watches over me.  He encourages me just by being his soft, furry, happy self![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
